A Journey Within: Carving, Drilling and Wellness

A journey into myself through the likeness of hobbies and creativities that have allowed me to “escape” from feelings, good and bad, and using my energy to provide productivity and peace rather than tendencies that could drive me further from my pursuing of positivity.
Heres a spoon carved from my favorite wood to carve, Colorado Rocky Mountain Juniper (Juniperus scopulorum) is a type of juniper tree native to the Rocky Mountain region of Colorado and surrounding areas. This wood is highly workable and responds well to both hand tools and machinery. It has good stability and is relatively easy to carve, shape, and finish. It can be sanded to a smooth and polished surface, highlighting the natural beauty of the wood. The heartwood showcased in this spoon is best described in a picture. This was my first spoon that I sold to a friend on a trip to the beautiful wilderness of Big Sur. Final price: the remaining Cash of his wallet 37$. The transaction made me feel proud, knowing that someone valued my craftsmanship enough to pay for it. Excitement coursed through me, fueling my passion and inspiring me to explore further opportunities.
